The Outsiders

About this event

Mountain View Theatre will bring S.E. Hinton's beloved coming-of-age classic The Outsiders to the stage this December in a production directed by Amy James.

Adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel, The Outsiders follows Ponyboy Curtis and his fellow Greasers as they navigate friendship, family, identity, and loss. Filled with action, humor, and heart, the story continues to resonate with generations of audiences through its timeless message of empathy and belonging.

This unique production features two casts. The Corvettes Cast, performed entirely by female actors, and the Mustangs Cast, featuring a mixed-gender ensemble, will each offer their own interpretation of the iconic characters and story.

Known for energetic performances and student-driven creativity, Mountain View Theatre's cast and crew have spent months bringing the world of The Outsiders to life through acting, technical theatre, design, and production.
