They include nurse practitioners, physician associates and certified nurse midwives.

St. Charles spokesperson Alandra Johnson said in a statement that the system respects the providers' right to organize. She said St. Charles will work with ONA and the on next steps, including a date for an election.

  • Locations: Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Madras and La Pine
  • If St. Charles declines: organizers petition the NLRB for an election
  • Election rule: a simple majority of votes decides
  • 2022: a proposed union of about 300 withdrew its request

The declaration spans dozens of departments, and ONA is already at St. Charles

I want to warn everyone about Krista Janel Byrd, aka KJ Byrd.

“She was our dog sitter; we met her on Rover. This deal was done outside of Rover, unfortunately. We have used her for about a year and a half, so I thought trust was established. I was booking a stay for my pup for Thanksgiving break. Since this is usually a very busy time, she asked for prepayment. Completely…”

The Wrap

Dale and Doug have a story that starts rough and gets sweeter. The two cats were among 10 abandoned at the Humane Society of Central Oregon, all crammed into one wire crate. Now they're a bonded pair looking for a home together, and favorites in the shelter's youth reading program, curling up beside kids to hear the stories. Purr-fect audience.
