Senator Anthony Broadman and Representative Emerson Levy visited Central Oregon on Friday with officials from Bend and Redmond to review safety concerns on routes including the Murphy Road and Highway 97 intersection and parts of Knott Road — the growing housing demand has made such issues urgent. Bend High ended a four-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over Summit on Friday as the team returned to basics by being on time, wearing proper uniforms, and using the right gear—senior shortstop Will Goodman drove in the winning runs in the seventh inning while junior pitcher Cole Cooper threw a complete game.
