GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Senator Anthony Broadman and Representative Emerson Levy visited Central Oregon on Friday with officials from Bend and Redmond to review safety concerns on routes including the Murphy Road and Highway 97 intersection and parts of Knott Road — the growing housing demand has made such issues urgent. They noted that a major state transportation package is under consideration and could provide future funding for highway improvements like added medians. KTVZ
