About this event
For 16 years, Backporch Coffee Roasters has bought coffee directly from Hacienda La Minita in Costa Rica’s Central Valley. Origins is a 10-minute documentary that follows founder Dave Beach, his daughter Scout and the Backporch team to the farm. Along the way they meet the growers, pickers and mill workers who make every cup possible.
To celebrate 20 years of Backporch, we’re screening the film twice this First Friday, at 5:30 and 6:30 pm. Stay for a live Q&A, taste coffee from La Minita, and see photographs from the trip on display. It’s free and everyone is welcome.
