Deschutes Public Library Director Todd Dunkelberg announced he will retire in September, ending his 16 years as director and 26 years with the library system.

The library board will begin a national search for his replacement in January with a four to six week transition planned.

Ma Dee Thai Street Food, a family-run truck led by Atima Guzzonato, opened last week at Bend RV Resort after its debut at a farmers market and quickly sold out its popular Thai noodle dishes.

St. Charles Health System announced Thursday it reached an agreement with PacificSource that will let thousands of patients stay in-network on a one-year Medicare Advantage contract and a two-year commercial contract — the deal comes after earlier talks that aimed to avoid coverage disruptions. The agreement supports continued local access to care.
