- ➤ Residents in Crooked River Ranch voted in a straw poll against allowing ATVs on 62 miles of unpaved roads after officials reported a spike in illegal off-road use—670 voted no while 450 voted yes. The local road district will report the results to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners, and off-roading remains illegal unless a new county ordinance is approved. Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ ByHeart recalled all of its organic baby formula on Tuesday after an outbreak of infant botulism sickened 15 babies in 12 states including Oregon. The recall was made in close coordination with the FDA following inspections at the Portland plant—parents with the product are advised to stop using and dispose of it immediately.
