- ➤ Burgerville is offering a free Kids Cheeseburger Basket for children who receive SNAP benefits at any location from Nov. 3 through Nov. 9 with in-store and drive-thru service available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.—free meals end when SNAP benefits resume or at 11 p.m. on Nov. 9, whichever comes first. The chain also lets guests round up their order totals and donates 20% of sales on Nov. 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to local food banks such as Oregon Food Bank and Clark County Food Bank. KTVZ
- ➤ Bend Golf Club celebrated its 100th anniversary Sunday with the Holiday Bazaar—nearly 40 local vendors offered handcrafted goods, holiday gifts and seasonal décor while the Bend Food Project’s Green Bag Program fought food insecurity by collecting home food donations. - ➤ At Bend High gym's final game before demolition, the Lava Bears swept No. 14 Central 3-0 on Saturday to earn a spot in their fifth state tournament and will face West Albany Friday at 10 a.m.—the team celebrated a fitting farewell to the historic venue. Meanwhile, Summit, Trinity Lutheran, Sisters and Central Christian won playoff matches on Saturday to advance to state tournaments—and each team is set for a quarterfinal game on Friday.
