- ➤ Two 'No Kings' rallies are planned for Saturday, October 18th—one in Bend and the other in Prineville. In Bend, the event kicks off at Drake Park with music and speakers starting at 2:00-3:00 p.m. before moving to Peace Corner from 3:00-4:30 p.m., while Prineville will host its rally at Pioneer Park from noon to 1 p.m. KTVZ

- ➤ A small electrical fire damaged a Sisters home Monday morning on the 100 block of North Cowboy Street — fire crews from Sisters-Camp Sherman, Black Butte Ranch, and Cloverdale quickly isolated the electrical supply and reminded residents to check their smoke alarms as clocks fall back. KTVZ

- ➤ Local businesses have launched the Regional Business Alliance to give Central Oregon a united voice on state issues—covering Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties. - ➤ Central Oregonians must prepare for winter by scheduling heating inspections, sealing drafty windows, and planning for power outages—experts warn that freezing temperatures can lead to costly repairs and health hazards like frostbite and carbon monoxide poisoning. KTVZ
- ➤ Mt. Bachelor reported five inches of new snow at the base area overnight Monday morning, showing early winter conditions ahead of the planned Nov. 28 opening.
