CRIME NEWS

  • Jose Maria Nonato-Pineda Sr., 59, was extradited from Mexico to Oregon to face 28 charges, including rape and sex abuse, after nearly a decade.  KTVZ

  • Bend's water conservation program was one of ten finalists for the EPA WaterSense Partner of the Year award, recognized for its efforts in making water-saving practices affordable and accessible.  Central Oregon Daily
  • The Bend City Council unanimously approved a resolution to reduce the use of fossil fuels in new city-owned constructions, aiming for alternative energy solutions and considering policy development for broader community impact.  KBND
