EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Central Oregon Disability Support Network lost its $150,000 federal grant for its special education program, a cut that led to laying off two staff and reducing services in eight counties—families and local officials are now urging the group to secure new funding. The support network, which has served over 4,000 families, remains committed to assisting children with disabilities despite the setback.  Bend Bulletin

  • At Drake Park — the Oxford Classic was held Saturday afternoon — Caldera runners Mason Morical and Maddie Carney won the individual 5,000-meter races while the Summit girls and Bend High boys earned the team titles.
