- ➤ Honor Flight of Central Oregon brought veterans back from Washington, D.C.—where they visited memorials—on Saturday, and the local community greeted them at Ridgeview High School with cheers, hugs, and handmade quilts representing the American flag. KTVZ
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Ballers & Brews opened on Sunday on Redside Court near 10 Barrel East in Bend to offer pickleball, food and drinks for all ages. The venue features covered courts, indoor areas for families and pets, a lineup of local food trucks and courts that open daily at 7 a.m.—the taphouse operates from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and until 10 p.m. on weekends. - ➤ A new aviation-themed food truck pod and taphouse called Hangar 97 will open in southwest Bend at the corner of Murphy Road and Silverado Springs — the design mimics an aircraft hangar and includes a live music stage with a nearby indoor pickleball center. Permits are under review and construction could begin as early as March next year while some local residents have expressed concerns over noise and traffic. Bend Bulletin
