- ➤ Happy Trails Horse Rescue in Tumalo received a grant from The Team Depot Foundation and Home Depot Bend to repaint its barn red on Saturday, creating a safer space for rescued horses, volunteers and visitors. Volunteers helped with the project, and the public may view the updated barn — Open Barn Day is set for October 11 from 12 to 2 p.m. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ On Saturday, 65 people joined RCAPP’s Community Paint Day to refresh the Graffiti Tunnel along Dry Canyon Trail near American Legion Park in Redmond—RCAPP has held these events since 2021 to promote public art and reduce graffiti. Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ A new plan for 128 income-restricted homes on land meant for shops near Caldera High School has upset some neighbors in Easton who expected more local services.
