A 56 year old Silverton woman became hypothermic near Golden Lake on Wednesday.
Deschutes County’s Search and Rescue team hiked 6.5 miles in harsh weather (from 12:51 p.m. to 5:42 p.m.) to locate her and help her return safely.
The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office released its annual report highlights for the Central Oregon Partnerships for Youth program today, showing 16 new mentor matches and 34 active matches that delivered over 2,700 volunteer hours; the program will host fall training on Saturday, Sept. 26 in Bend.
