- ➤ Central Oregon irrigators are lowering the Deschutes River's water level today to help search and rescue teams locate the man missing from a July 19 accident at Dillon Falls—two women were recovered earlier from the incident. Bend Bulletin

- ➤ Bend performer J.D. Platt trains rescued shelter dogs to perform high-flying frisbee tricks at the Deschutes County Fair—his K9 Kings Flying Dog Show runs today at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.—drawing local audiences with its unique blend of skill and fun. Bend Bulletin
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bend Park and Recreation District will open fall program registration on Monday, Aug 4 and Tuesday, Aug 5 for programs running from September through December. Registration opens at 6:00 a.m.—with sports, camps, and recreation programs on Monday and swim lessons on Tuesday—and community members may sign up online or in person at designated sites. - ➤ City officials said the roundabout construction at Bear Creek Road, Pettigrew Road and Purcell Boulevard is ahead of schedule thanks to strong coordination; crews will finish the work this construction season and avoid an extra closure next spring—though the intersection remains closed through October.
