CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 33-year-old Bend man was stabbed in the arm at ARCO on South Highway 97 Friday at about 9:35 p.m. and is in stable condition after receiving life-saving care, while the suspect—an adult male with tattoos on his chest and arms, short brown hair, and a mustache—fled the scene as police continue to investigate. - ➤ Three children who went missing with their mother from Bend have been found today at a residence in Klamath County after DSCO and the Oregon State Police led an extensive search—after over an hour of calm negotiation, the mother relinquished custody and the children were turned over to ODHS safely. - ➤ Hundreds gathered Saturday at the Deschutes Historical Museum for Bend Senior High School's first all-class reunion, where former students, teachers and current attendees celebrated the school's history and community ties. Organizers plan to host the event annually on the last weekend in July — a new tradition honoring the school's legacy. Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ Three major construction projects are underway in Bend as a multi-year renovation at Bend High, an expansion of the county court, and a new Central Library at Stevens Ranch advance on schedule. Each project has reached a new phase—Bend High is installing brick veneer and upgrades, the court is replacing part of its roof and framing, and the library’s exterior work nears completion as it prepares for next steps. - ➤ Oregon State baseball is strengthening its roster as former University of Portland infielder Jace Miller, who hit .556 in his last nine games with the Bend Elks, announced his transfer on Saturday—he has two seasons of eligibility remaining and joins teammate Tanner Douglas from Medford.
