- ➤ The Cram Fire northeast of Madras grew from 4,500 to 28,635 acres and moved into Ashwood, prompting evacuations and threatening homes as it nears key power lines. A smaller Highland Fire outside Prineville now covers 719 acres and is believed to be human caused as local crews work under high winds and hot conditions. KBND
- ➤ Wildfire smoke has returned to Central Oregon skies as wildfires burn around the region, leaving residents in Bend and nearby areas with hazy conditions and air quality alerts. Air quality sensors in Madras registered unhealthy levels from the fast-growing Cram Fire—officials advise residents to monitor conditions and take precautions during fire season. KTVZ
- ➤ A fast-moving wildfire near Highway 97 has burned nearly 29,000 acres and forced GO NOW evacuations in Ashwood as firefighters work to protect homes and structures. State and local agencies have mobilized crews and invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act to slow its spread on steep terrain — the fire remains 0% contained. KTVZ
