- ➤ Containment of the Alder Springs Fire increased to 68% and evacuation notices in Jefferson County were reduced to Level 1 after rain and cooler temperatures were forecast today — public access to trails reopened after BLM closures were lifted on June 21, and fire crews will transfer command to a local management team later today. - ➤ Construction began on Wednesday on a three-year $180 million expansion at Redmond Airport that will add 80,000 square feet including a new concourse, seven jet bridges, expanded waiting areas, and extra seating—designed to ease crowding for growing travel demands. The project has been funded by federal, state, and airport sources and is expected to serve over 1.7 million passengers by 2036. Bend Bulletin
- ➤ The Latino Community Association closed its Bend and Redmond offices after plainclothes ICE agents were reported to have visited businesses, knocked on doors, and detained people since late last week.
