- ➤ On May 29, a woman from La Pine drowned after her paddleboard fell into dangerous rapids at Pringle Falls—while on Sunday, a Bend man was rescued after being found face-down near the Portland Avenue Bridge, and officials stress the need to wear proper life jackets and use quick-release leashes on the river.
