- ➤ Bend police arrested a 36-year-old resident on Friday after he allegedly threatened a mass shooting along NE Waller Avenue. Officers stopped him in his driveway as he left his home armed with an AR-15 style rifle, ballistic vest, and duffel bag — no injuries were reported. KBND

- ➤ On Tuesday, the Deschutes National Forest conducted prescribed burns in the Crescent and Sisters ranger districts to lower wildfire risk—burning up to 42 acres near Crescent and 91 acres near Sisters.
