- ➤ Oregon State University-Cascades has launched the Energy Innovation Center at an 11,000 sqft facility on Potts Court in Northwest Crossing to support energy research and help local entrepreneurs. - ➤ Bend-La Pine Schools are reviewing education technology use in classrooms (including apps and websites) after stakeholder meetings raised concerns about digital overuse, and officials will set grade-specific standards to balance classroom innovation with privacy and proper development. - ➤ Petitioners submitted 120,935 signatures for the PEACE Act—which could ban hunting, fishing and select farming practices—and the signatures are under review by the Secretary of State's office to qualify the measure for the November ballot. Central Oregon Daily
