- ➤ Cascades East Transit will offer free rides on Bend routes plus in Redmond from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from June 1 through 5 to encourage transit use with pop-up events at spots like Hawthorne Station, COCC Bend Campus, and the new Central Library. Bend Bulletin
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two homes on Brody Lane in Boyd Acres were destroyed when a fire broke out in the middle of the night on Thursday, leaving a family with minor burns and many personal items ruined as fire crews investigated the cause. Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ Mt. Bachelor is upgrading its Northwest chairlift with new electric power and operating systems, and construction will continue through fall to include buried communications lines + a new maintenance garage.
