GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Oregon’s attorney general joined a lawsuit on May 9 against the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration for withholding hundreds of millions in funding for electric vehicle chargers—officials argue that only Congress can cancel grants approved in 2022. • In April, Bend set a new record with a median home sale price of $832,000 based on 146 sales—over one-third of which involved all-cash buyers paying more than $1 million.
