  • KTVZ received special recognition from the Assistance League of Bend for its decades-long community partnership supporting programs that help local residents facing poverty and cancer. CRIME NEWS

  • On Tuesday, the DOJ announced what it called the largest fentanyl bust in DEA history—16 people were arrested and alleged ringleader Heriberto Salazar Amaya, a Mexican national from Salem, was taken into custody as millions of fentanyl pills, other drugs, firearms and cash were seized across several cities.  Central Oregon Daily

  • Oregon pianist Paula Dreyer will perform at the mouth of a lava cave at Juniper Preserve near Redmond this month—audiences will use wireless headphones and bring flashlights to explore the cave as they enjoy her live music.  The Oregonian

SPORTS NEWS

  • At the IMC boys golf championships on May 6, Summit’s sophomore Bryden Ditty rallied with birdies on the final four holes to win the title at Aspen Lakes Golf Course in Sisters. The Storm finished with a team score of 311 + top finishers qualified for state on May 19-20 while others move on to the regional tournament in Hood River.  Bend Bulletin
