- ➤ Central Oregon breweries won five medals at the World Beer Cup on Thursday—Sunriver Brewing Co. brought home gold in the American Wheat Beer category. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ Leslie Koegler is building Ballers & Brews on NE Brinson Boulevard and NE 18th Street in southeast Bend—a facility with heated pickleball courts, a tap house, and food carts that will open in mid-September. - ➤ Burgerville has posted three part-time job openings in hospitality, sales, kitchen and production for its first Bend location at 612 SE 3rd St (just 5 minutes from the Old Mill District) as details on an official opening date remain forthcoming. KTVZ

- ➤ Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield hosted a town hall at OSU-Cascades yesterday in Bend to hear community members discuss how federal budget cuts are affecting food assistance, healthcare, and public safety, and he was joined by Rep. Janelle Bynum, State Sen. Anthony Broadman + Rep. Jason Kropf. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ Sen. Jeff Merkley will host three town halls next Saturday, May 10 in Madras at 10 a.m., in Prineville at 1 p.m., and in Sisters at 5:30 p.m.—Rep. Janelle Bynum will join him in Sisters as officials expect the events to reach capacity. Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ Ridgeview baseball swept Bend High 8-2 on Friday evening to narrow the IMC title race to a contest between Ridgeview and Summit — the team holds a one-game lead and will play Mountain View in a three-game series starting Tuesday.
