- ➤ Hundreds ran Saturday in the 38th Salmon Run at Riverbend Park along the Deschutes River — organized by Lay It Out Events. Runners competed in a half marathon, 10K and 5K and received medals and ribbons as proceeds supported The Giving Plate with more events planned later this year. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ A Sip and Swap event at Crater Lake Spirits Tasting Room raised funds for Furnish Hope — offering drink samples and discounted items while Jim Bendis of Bendistillery noted that community members valued memorabilia like whiskey barrels and that the Crater Lake Spirits brand remains unchanged amid Hood River Distillers’ acquisition. Universal Health Plan Town Hall (Free + Open To All)
Oregon is creating universal health care legislation. This Town Hall is currently the only in-person chance in Central Oregon to hear from the people writing the state's legislation and to ask questions/provide comments. This will be historic legislation. If you are interested in the issue, support universal health care, or have questions about it, you have to be at this event to make your voice heard.
