- ➤ Avelo Airlines has extended flights from Redmond to Sonoma County, Burbank, and Las Vegas through November. Flights from Redmond to Palm Springs will return in November+the low-cost carrier started four years ago and serves 55 cities with its 20 Boeing Next-Generation 737s. Bend Bulletin

- ➤ Deschutes County District Attorney Steve Gunnels placed Sheriff Kent van der Kamp on the Brady list on Monday over allegations he gave false testimony in multiple DUII cases—law expert Jessica Pishko said such a placement is rare for a sheriff and that voters should be aware of whom they trust. - ➤ Central Oregon Community College said Tuesday that students Emma Bloss, ErinRae McKellar Cook and Taylor Taliesin have been chosen for the Oregon Community College Association’s 2025 All-Oregon Academic Team, which honors top achievers from 17 community colleges. The students will be celebrated at a luncheon on April 18 at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. KTVZ

- ➤ Oregon Bottledrop is offering a 20% match for nonprofits during Earth Week—April 15–26—and more than 1,100 organizations have registered to benefit if blue bags are used for bottle returns. Local groups like Think Wild Animal Hospital are among those set to receive extra support. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife reported that Oregon’s wolf count grew 15% to 204 at the end of 2024 with 25 packs and 17 breeding pairs as the predators expand into western areas. The report noted that confirmed livestock depredations dropped slightly while poaching and wolf-livestock conflicts remain under investigation — officials released the report on April 11. - ➤ Oregon lawmakers voted unanimously on Tuesday, April 15 (56-0) to add digitally altered images to the state’s revenge porn law, making it illegal to share nonconsensual nude photos. The bill now moves to the Senate where a first offense will be a Class A misdemeanor with penalties up to 364 days in county jail and a fine up to $6,250. Bend Bulletin
