- ➤ Tax Day is Tuesday, April 15 when Oregonians can use the IRS Direct File tool to file taxes for free. The mobile-friendly tool is available in English and Spanish—and offers live-chat assistance to help taxpayers file their returns quickly. The Oregonian
- ➤ Deschutes County is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week from April 13 through 19 to honor the vital work of the 9-1-1 team that answered 273,337 calls in 2024 (nearly 750 daily) and assisted in three births.
