- ➤ Residents in Cedar Hills and Beaverton reported three cougar sightings in the last week. A video shows a cougar on a Cedar Hills porch at 2 a.m. and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife advises residents to secure pets and children at dawn and dusk – officials will work with law enforcement if the situation escalates. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A bill that would allow Medicaid to pay parents for caring for their minor children with severe disabilities passed the Senate Health Care Committee on March 13 with unanimous support. The proposal, known as Tensy’s Law or Senate Bill 538, now will go to the Joint Committee on Ways and Means to decide if its expenses can be included in the new budget. Central Oregon Daily
