ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 50-year-old Bend man died Thursday in an avalanche while skiing on Mount Bailey near Diamond Lake — his guided cat-skiing group encountered the slide around 3:45 p.m. in a motorized closure area and, with on-scene nurses, attempted lifesaving efforts as he did not survive. The Oregonian

- ➤ On Sunday, about 200 people attended a town hall at Oregon State University-Cascades where lawmakers Emerson Levy, Jason Kropf and Senator Broadman answered questions about federal decisions on healthcare and education.
