- ➤ Second Saturday: Paws & Pints will take place this weekend in the Old Mill District from noon to 3 p.m. Organized by Bryan Du Toit of Hungry Hound, the event will offer dog fun stations, adoptable pets, and local vendors & activities for canine companions and their families. Bend Bulletin
- ➤ Hoodoo is hauling snow across the resort this week to sustain its Winter Carnival near Sisters on Saturday. The event will offer games, live music and fireworks, though the Dummy Downhill may not run if snow conditions remain thin. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ Local advocate Damari Perreard, known for supporting those experiencing homelessness, now faces a housing & health crisis in her Bend home as illness forces her eviction. She attended an eviction hearing by phone and must soon choose her next steps. Central Oregon Daily
- ➤ Rotary Club of Greater Bend will hold its annual Wine Raffle on March 13 at Aspen Hall in Bend, giving away over 100 wine bottles plus eight cases as prizes. Tickets cost $5 and the fundraiser will support youth activities and local scholarships. KTVZ

- ➤ Live music events will take place from Thursday, Mar. 12 to Wednesday, Mar. 18 at local venues including River’s Place & Tower Theatre. The performances will feature folk, rock, jazz & Celtic tunes with free events and tickets priced from $10 to $92. Bend Bulletin
- ➤ Mitchum Yacoub and his band Jungle Fire will bring Afro-Latin grooves to the Tower Theatre in downtown Bend on Sunday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.—tickets cost $12 for standing room and $12 to $32 for reserved seating. Bend Bulletin

- ➤ In Bend, average gas prices nearly rose 39 cents last week to almost $4.29 a gallon, a moderate jump compared to higher increases in other states. AAA Oregon/Idaho noted the hike comes amid global oil concerns (including stalled tanker routes) and seasonal factors. KTVZ

- ➤ Mountain View High School juniors are breaking stereotypes in the Biomedical Foundations program by gaining real-life lab experience through hands-on rotations at St. Charles Bend — a partnership with Cascades East AHEC Health Occupations that gives Bend girls a headstart in healthcare careers. - ➤ Bend High will soon demolish its 70-year-old gym as it begins a long-awaited campus rebuild and the Lava Bears will play at a rival gym until a new facility opens in 2028 (crews plan to salvage parts of the court). Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ ExplorUS bought the historic hotel and will use it for park employee housing this summer plus launch a coffee and ice cream shop in coming months, ThorMar LLC confirmed Tuesday. The plan is set to revitalize the landmark for workers and local visitors. Bend Bulletin
