  • Juniper House Sober Living held an open house on Sunday (in Bend) to introduce its new transitional home for women in recovery that will soon welcome its first residents. The facility offers space for gardening, animal care and life skills development.  Central Oregon Daily
  • An elusive heeler roaming northeast Bend for nearly a week was captured on Saturday after a community effort — neighbors, animal control and volunteers helped. The dog is now safe at the Humane Society of Central Oregon.  Central Oregon Daily

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • WorkSource Oregon and the Oregon Department of Revenue will offer free tax filing assistance in Bend on March 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 11007 SW Emkay Dr; taxpayers should prepare required documents and set up a Revenue Online account before attending.  Central Oregon Daily
