- ➤ On Saturday, Feb. 14, volunteers from the Sisters Rotarians and Kiwanis Club built 35 beds for children at a community build organized with Sleep in Heavenly Peace — the project received $4,000 donations from each club and quilt contributions from local guilds to serve families in Sisters, Redmond and Hoodoo. - ➤ Residents in Bend enjoyed Winter Fest 2026 this past weekend, celebrating with food, crafts, live entertainment, and a dog show even though snowfall was low. Local vendors said the event brought the community together for a unique winter experience. KTVZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oregon taxpayers will get help filing federal and state returns at WorkSource Oregon centers this February and March — starting Feb. 18 in Woodburn and with a Bend session on March 25 at the SW Emkay Drive center — as Revenue volunteers guide online filings and credit claims. KTVZ

- ➤ The Oregon Health Authority is reminding parents to update their children’s vaccines by Feb. 25 so they can attend school, and local health departments have mailed letters to families missing the required records — a key measure to keep schools safe. KTVZ
