- ➤ On Feb. 5, the Deschutes League will host a free info session at 11:30 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Skyline Ranch Road, where CASA of Central Oregon will share its work in foster care advocacy — with updates from program coordinators Laura Fitzgerald and Kinsey Turnsplenty. - ➤ Downtown Bend Library closed its second floor Monday for a major remodel — books were moved to the new Central Library off SE 27th in east Bend and limited services will continue until April 10 before a full closure on April 11, with plans to reopen in spring 2027. Central Oregon Daily

- ➤ Square Baby, a Bend baby food company, unveiled its playful Super Bowl ad 'Deez Nuts' on Feb. 2 to promote early allergen exposure and reduce food allergy risks.
