- ➤ Think Wild, a Bend nonprofit, advises homeowners to schedule humane wildlife services this winter to seal entry points and install habitat features (like nest boxes) that reduce conflicts before spring activity increases. KTVZ
- ➤ Today, the Forest Service will begin a prescribed burn at the Pace Jackpot area near Skull Hollow Trail and Campground on the Crooked River National Grassland; a 78-acre site (three miles southeast of Highway 26 on Southeast Lone Pine Road) may be temporarily closed. Bend Bulletin

- ➤ Tax season began on Monday as Oregon taxpayers filed federal and state returns online to get their kicker refund, with electronic refunds due Feb. 18 and paper refunds in early April.
